A clear-looking admixture does not necessarily establish thermodynamic stability.
What the supplied paper reports
A laboratory study examined diazepam injections diluted in infusion fluids. Precipitation occurred over tested dilution ranges, and dissolved concentrations could exceed equilibrium solubility. The precipitate contained mainly diazepam with smaller amounts of formulation ingredients.
Study limits
The findings concerned particular preparations and experimental conditions. They do not establish stability for every container, temperature, storage interval or delivery system.
Forensic implications
For an administration question, document formulation, dilution, preparation time, appearance and handling. Nominal drug added to a bag is not automatically the amount remaining dissolved or delivered. This is a formulation issue; it does not independently establish that a clinical event resulted from underdelivery or particulate exposure.
