Matching exposure across populations is a different evidence route from a new outcome trial.
Study findings
The narrative review describes adult use of oromucosal midazolam and the role of pharmacokinetic modeling alongside clinical experience. Exposure matching from established populations formed part of the evidence discussed for adult application.
What limits the conclusion
This is a review, not a newly randomized adult comparison. Pharmacokinetic similarity does not make every patient, seizure or delivery circumstance identical. Administration acceptability, clinical effectiveness and safety are related but separately assessed questions.
Implications for case review
When evaluating a claim, identify which part rests on modeled exposure and which on observed outcomes. The source cannot establish the amount delivered, response time or recall of an individual event. Actual formulation, technique, timing and clinical observations remain necessary for forensic reconstruction.
